Overview

Primarily responsible for raising Capital for Starpoint’s multiple investment vehicles as well as securing and structuring debt financing for acquisitions and re-financings; establishing new and growing existing relationships with investors of all types for company sponsored funds, joint ventures, and all other capital initiatives.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Raise capital for the company through RIA’s, family office, institutional investors and other sources. Must have requisite experience and demonstrate track record of being able to raise and close capital independently.
  • Support the company’s goals of growth and expansion by effectively representing the company to new investors and partners.
  • Provide input in the development of marketing materials, investor presentations, and events that will support the growth of the company’s investor base.
  • Help develop an investor relations program as needed.
  • Work with senior team to grow the business by formulating strategies and business plans and implement those initiatives for the company’s capital raise strategies.
  • Sits on the Capital Markets Committee and serves a pivotal role in making sure all acquisitions are capital worthy and capital strategies to support specific assets are being executed properly.
  • Oversee firm's debt placement program.
  • Manage process for capital raises

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree Required with a concentration in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Marketing, Management or related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct Capital Markets experience in real estate. Experience raising capital from R.I.A’s, Wealth Managers and family offices
  • Experience in underwriting and raising closed ended funds is beneficial.
  • Clear understanding of real estate underwriting and risk analysis and being able to effectively present to investors.
  • Entrepreneurial vision and business acumen, able to find growth opportunities in dynamic and competitive environment.
  • Acumen and independent judgment to interact with high net worth clientele.
  • Strong relationship-management ability, both internally and client-facing
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly with Excel and proficiency with presentation software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to expand and maintain long-term relationships with investors.
  • A strong sense of passion, purpose, and high degree of accountability. Must be able to work independently and self-manage.
